Tom Arnott, Director of Golf/PGA of Canada Head Golf Professional
Raised in New Brunswick Tom played his junior golf at Westfield Golf Club before moving to Welsford Golf Club where he spent many years working with the late, well-respected golf professional Bobby Barr. After a successful junior career, Tom moved to Ontario to pursue his education at Georgian College in the Professional Golf Management program.
While in school, Tom worked at Banty's Roost Golf Club where he learned how to succeed in a very busy environment. Turning Professional in 1999, Tom moved to Huntsville where he worked as Assistant Professional at Deerhurst Resort for four years. In 2006, Tom left Deerhurst Resort to open The Club at Bond Head where he learned what it takes to open a brand new, high-end operation. He worked at The Club at Bond Head originally as Associate Professional looking after the day-to-day operations, then took on the role of Tournament Coordinator when the club went to 36 holes. Overseeing all tournaments for The Club at Bond Head, Tom developed a keen attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
In 2007, Tom made the move to Wooden Sticks Golf Club where he looked after the golf operation as the Associate Golf Professional. Tom attributes a lot of what he learned about marketing, aggressive tee sheet management and merchandising to his time at Wooden Sticks.
Tom joined the Deer Creek family in January 2010 in the role of Head Golf Professional where he intends on spending many years to come and growing with the facility and the region. Feel free to give Tom a call with any questions or concerns about the Deer Creek operation.
